Objective of the study is to examine the pedagogical potential of sports games in the motor development of children and adolescents in China.
Results and conclusions. It is shown that sports and outdoor games have a comprehensive influence on the motor sphere of learners, contributing to the development of coordination, speed, agility, endurance, speed-strength qualities and visual-motor reaction. It is noted that the effectiveness of sports games is determined by age-appropriateness, the gradual increase in the complexity of the tasks, game motivation and the methodologically competent organisation of the sessions.
