Abstract

Objective of the study is to identify the individual features of the structural components of the competitive activity of young short-distance female runners.

Methods and structure of the study. With the help of video analysis and photoelectronic timing, the individual features of the structure of the competitive activity of short-distance female runners aged 15-17 years were determined. The data obtained were subjected to correlation analysis.

Results and conclusions. It was established that the informativeness of individual elements of competitive activity in relation to the final result varies substantially between different athletes. The general factors and the individual features of the kinematic indicators of the technical mastery of short-distance female runners aged 15-17 years were determined. It was revealed that the character of the performance of the main exercise and of its individual elements under competitive conditions, being a complex indicator, reflects a distinctive ‘synthesis’ of the individual features of the athlete and of the level of her technical and physical preparedness. The need for the individualisation of the training process of the particular runner on the basis of an analysis of the structure of her competitive activity is demonstrated.
