Methods and structure of the study. The following research methods were applied to address the tasks set: a review of the literature, the collection of information, and questionnaires. Questions connected with piloting in bobsleigh on tracks with different profiles were examined. The most sought-after tracks of Europe, the USA and Canada were analysed. The best-known corners were identified. The questionnaires were carried out with the aim of determining the algorithm and the rules of the pilot’s actions on the track.
Results and conclusions. An algorithm and rules for negotiating the track have been developed which will enable athletes to raise their level of mastery and to achieve high sporting results at competitions of various levels.
